We won’t make a song and dance about it but our Guinness is widely considered one of the best-poured pints of Guinness on this side of the Irish Sea.

The Gibney’s Bar Bites menu is certainly one we’re proud of, featuring a selection of dishes from the Daffodil Mulligan kitchen upstairs.

The Salt ‘n’ Chili Fried Chicken is a standout - crispy, well-seasoned and hard to beat, served with a delicious chorizo mayo. For vegetarians, the Cauliflower Bhaji with smoked pineapple and cashew cream is a firm favourite. If you’re sharing, you can also order from the Daffodil Mulligan menu, including dishes like the Suckling Pig or Wood-Fired Smoked Sirloin - both a sight to behold.

Gibney’s Bar is located at 70 City Road, EC1Y 2BJ, in the London Borough of Islington. It’s just a short walk from Old Street and Shoreditch, and close to attractions like the Museum of London and the Barbican Centre.

You can reach it via the Northern Line to Old Street or the London Overground to Shoreditch High Street. It’s also within walking distance of Liverpool Street, Farringdon and Moorgate stations.
